2022 Fall Competition Wins

Lots of medals for the members of PC Mashers this fall. Jay won six medals across three different competitions. Larry, Kyle, and Scott racked up the medals at the North Georgia Homebrew competition; they garnered PC Mashers a tie for 2nd for Heavy Medal – Club.

At the North Georgia Homebrew competition, three of our brewers had noteworthy finishes.

Larry garnered a 1st in 18B-Pale Ale and a HM in 21B-Specialty IPA with his Oxymoron. He also took a 3rd place in Belgian Ales for his Menage a Trois (26C: Belgian Tripel). We haven’t seen much of you lately, but you have clearly been hard at work Larry. Congratulations!

Our Treasurer/Event Coordinator, Kyle, earned a 2nd in Standard American Beer for his Blonde Ale (18A: Blonde Ale).  This is not just Kyle’s first medal, it is his very first competition entry! Great work, Kyle!

Scott Cole won 3rd in British Ales for his Father Brown from Murder Town (11C: Strong Bitter).  You just keep racking up those medals, Scott, congratulations!

Jay shipped beer all the way to Arizona for the Ash Fall Classic, where his Tree Fiddy (5D: German Pils) won second in the German pilsner category

He earned two medals from the Motown Mash in New Jersey.  His Dark Liquid of the 8th State (33B: Specialty Wood Aged) won 3rd in the Wood category, and his Wheat Fields Of The Old Town (10A: Weissbier) won 3rd in the Wheat category.

At the FOAM Cup in Oklahoma, Jay earned three more medals!  His Bitter Beer Face (11C: Strong Bitter) took 2nd in the British Bitter category.  No, This Is Not A Cold IPA (34B: Mixed-style beer) won 2nd in the IPA – Mixed-style category. Finally, Tall Man (22A: Double IPA) earned a 2nd place in the Strong American Ale Category.

A truly stellar showing – Congrats, Jay!
